Cat n Mouse Game...

I have a few funny photos of this episode. Instead of squeeling and hiding, I grabbed my camera and leaned over my center kitchen island (feet off the floor) & clicked photos. The cat would let the mouse go and then re-capture it, time and time again! I couldn't relax and go to bed until it wasn't running any more :
( Oh, she didn't catch this IN the house, she brought it in from outside! )

I Took a Walk This Evening and This is What I Found...

Our friends, Piper and Loren have two adorable new foals!

This one is a little older and so curious. We kind of "hanged out" together for awhile... loved that!

Would have loved to climb over the fence and just love on him! (her?) Walking back home, this is the view from the bridge looking down on the South Fork River as it comes into town.
The first view of 'our place' as you come into Dayville from the East.

Guess the sign says it all... this little building is the City Hall and was once a little jail~ guess it was on our property at one time and has been moved more than once. It's now adjacent to the City Park.

A nice RV pulling in tonight. The Inn is full and three of our RV spots. :)

RV Park... looking one direction...

and looking the other direction...

I was in Sunsites for about 4 hours and 4 photos...

This is a cactus on one of the lots we have for sale.
We have four lots adjacent to the golf course for sale for $29,000 each.
Interested!?
Here is our casita... the tree is full of leaves, we don't see that when we are there in the winter... we are letting the grass go... can't keep it tended to from Oregon.
This is looking down the 18th fairway from our front yard. It sure was dead down there. Too bad 'cuz it's such a nice golf course!

KC Slides... or is it Casey Slide? I Don't Really Know.

Our "reverse sunset" this evening... looking south....
Our "busy" place has been mellow this weekend. Guess lots going on elsewhere to keep everyone entertained. We like it this way. It is very different than the rowdy 4th of July crowd. So, here is our excitement.... This evening, I attempted to make Mike and me one of our favorite snacks, popcorn and chileno peppers. I didn't use the "popcorn" button on the microwave and guessed, and put it at 3 minutes. I was returning a phone call for an RV reservation when I realized the entire house was full of smoke! It may smell like burned popcorn for weeks! It left a terrible film in the microwave and I am guessing an invisible one on every surface! Fans don't seem to help... Dang, I am dumb!

Couple Things to Share

No, these are not our goldens! They belong to some folks in the campground. The adult dog is a female named "Mercedes", she looks so much like "Zander"! The puppy is 7 weeks old ~ he is a male named "Gunner".

This old wild rose seems to bloom every year on graduation weekend. It is at the very center of our property along the driveway, and it's hard to not go "wow" when you see it. It is not only large, but the orange blossoms are rare and lovely!

Congrats Jacy!

I would have loved to attend Jacy's graduation Thursday night with the rest of my family... even though they got rained on! She looks pretty happy and I know her parents are proud!

Still Working on Beautifying that Southern View :)

This is a Curly Willow... I took cuttings off of one growing in the draw behind our house and they rooted so quickly! I planted six of them today and two Umbrella Willows from another nearby tree. I sure hope they make it! It didn't cost anything but heaving a pick and hauling soil... sweat equity! Now to haul rock and complete the basins...

Razzle Dazzle Golf Tournament

John Day Golf Course hosted an all-ladies tournament this weekend. The weather was HOT and wonderful! Mike loaded the camper for me and let me camp out at the course and have a weekend getaway. I had planned on taking lots of photos for our ladies club blog spot but didn't. I am having a rough go of it health wise, not sure if its allergies or mold spores in my lungs... somethin' nasty and its just wearing me down :( Anyway, I survived and ended up winning a couple hundred dollars in a Calcutta this afternoon after two days of pretty poor golfing.

Saturday was individual stroke play and today was a scramble... These are my scramble partners, and the gal on the left was my Calcutta partner.. Michelle.

yin ~ yang

I took this photo before the sun even came up this morning.. The sky was interesting but I didn't get any great shots. This cropped image just tells the story of the day. The dark nasty clouds that spitted frozen pellets~ followed by sun, but accompanied with high winds. Spring in Eastern Oregon rages on!

Saying "So Long"

Last Dayville Hoorah Before Returning to SLC

Yesterday afternoon Lyndee dropped Sam and his kayak off at the Dayville City Park and he paddled all the way through the Picture Gorge (about 10 miles of river). We had fun watching him. We stopped at various spots along the way and waited for him and then followed him through the Gorge as he encountered some fun rapids.

W O W What a lovely bug!

"Sometimes you're the windshield ~
Sometimes you're the bug"..
(This bug lived to tell the story, this was taken by my Mom through her car windshield! He flew away once they stopped.) It's a grasshopper, isn't it?

We Rallied Yesterday.

57 ladies participated in the Rally for the Cure golf scramble yesterday. It is always quite moving when balloons of hope and in memory of loved ones are released at the end. I thought this photo with the flag and the balloons lifting was pretty sweet.
Seven ladies from Dayville played, so I named us the "Dayville Damsels". On my team we all had "D" names, too. Deanne, Denise, Deb, Debbie.

We won 2nd low gross, so we posed for a team photo.

Cute Neighbor Kids

These two little guys were as happy as I was that the sun came out yesterday afternoon! I think they were looking at my dogs, and since I had my camera in my hands I took advantage of it!
