Free Gift ~ Get it?

Lyndee found this little rock ~ It's about 3" tall and the cross is actually part of it. It is sitting on our fireplace mantel and I just love, love, love it!

A New Version of a Winter Wonder Land

Roosevelt Lake on a January day... a lovely one!Mike and Lyndee played on the jetski with windbreakers and hats but bare legs. It was close to 70' in the afternoon sun, but cool when zipping along on the water!

Mom and Paul have a fun little boat they call "Froggy". I rode with them and took about 100 photos of what I see as Arizona at its finest.... water meets desert! The sahuaro cactus that grow around the lake are magnificent!

Day Trip

This is at a ranch of one of our RV Park guests who used to come through Dayville en route from Arizona to Alaska every year in their motorhome. They loved our dogs and now a widow, Doda invited us to bring the dogs and visit her in Sonoita. She has a very secluded 40 acres and a beautiful adobe home! This is Doda with the white hair - she jumped on her quad and we followed her to her barn..zoom zoom :) She is admirable in her independence and spunk!

Just a few miles north of the Mexican border, Patagonia Lake was our picnic stop. It was nice and warm, not crowded and the dogs had a blast!

Mama relaxing after lunch.

Zoe isn't interested in fetching and swimming like Zander and Zink, she prefers to cross her front paws and appear regal.

Desert Rats

We were blessed with another beautiful warm day Sunday. Instead of golfing, we hit the dirt roads along the foothills of the Cochise Stronghold with Steve and MarySue. We found some great property for sale that borders National Forest land. Seven acre parcels that are beautiful ~and probably quite expensive! Here are a few glimpses of the day.

Hangin' Out

Pictured are Jason, Mike, Steve and MarySue... Oregonians enjoying a warm Arizona evening. This home is steps away from the 4th tee. The weather has been awesome! We have played golf every day for the last week and having a fun time with friends barbecue'n and hangin' out afterwards.

Full Moon Rising

Driving home from Tucson this evening, I pulled over on Dragoon Road and took this photo of the moon as it crested over the mountain. We were en route home from the UofA vs OR State basketball game, aways an exciting event! Instead of Mike going with me, a friend from Hood River who also has a winter home here in Sunsites, and who attended OR State, was my companion... I feel very fortunate to sit in those wonderful seats at the basketball game!

Sharing a Great Evening

After an afternoon of golf, we took a drive to look at property... we came across this little buck and he just kind of toyed with us for a couple miles.. Isn't he a pretty sight out in the middle of the desert!? Below is Mike checking out the property we were trying to find... 3 acres for only $10,000!
Seemed like every direction we looked was beautiful... the pink mountains in the photo below are the Chiricahua's... looking east... What some may see as desolate, I found breathe-taking!

One-One O-Nine

As you can see, sunshine and doggy smiles rang in our New Year's Day. After a golf scramble with friends Tanya and Eric we drove around and looked at property. They were nice enough to include all three of our dogs.
