Simple Pleasure

Hanging out my sheets for the Inn is one of my favorite things and folding them in the evening is such a pleasure. Everyone who has ever attempted to help me will tell you I am very picky about how I fold them. Every sheet turns out the same size once its folded... a twin or a queen, a flat or a fitted.

It is 80' today and a nice breeze and a neighbor just came and paid to use our big commercial dryer. That's almost criminal, not to mention wasteful, in my opinion. Thanks Grams for passing on your love of line dryed laundry.

And Then There Was Light.... Sunlight !

After whining about the non-stop rain I had to at least post a thank you for the blue skies yesterday.... and again this morning. Waking up to sunshine is simply wonderful - and appreciated.

G O L F............................................................... It's Not Just a Four Letter Word Anymore!

I am the one who always crumbles under the pressure of competition. It goes way back to when I was a gymnast and collapsed doing a back handspring and curled up on the sidelines afterward and cried. What makes me keep competing? I ask myself that every time I play in a golf tournament! And last weekend was no exception. I played okay on Saturday, got 2nd net and won accuracy drive in my flight and made $70. Well they took our scores from Saturday and made teams for a "Sole Survivor" tournament after Sundays play. The best player was teamed with the worst. I was 4th best, so I got teamed with the 4th worst. There were twelve teams and we all play together and one gets eliminated each hole. My team won! And I won $350. I was amazed and elated and can't quit replaying those ten holes over and over in my mind. Yippee, gosh it was FUN!

First Glimpse of Summer

This was my Mother's Day wish, a day at the lake with my daughter. She is so capable, hooks up the trailer with the jetski, and backs it and knows all the right buttons to push. I love that she amazes me and that she is so fun to just hang out with. I drove 1- 1/2 hrs and she drove 45 min to our meeting spot in Prineville. After a couple hours enjoying a mirror- like lake, we spent almost an hour in the brand new Dollar Store. (cheap thrills!) My little beemer ran great and I really enjoyed the way it handled through the winding road home.
